My production company is going to start shooting a movie this August. We have a low budget but we have very high expectations for the film and are confident it will go very far. How do I get companies like coca-cola, pepsi, etc., to advertise through our film? I really need help! Thanks!!!
Be realistic, are Coke and Pepsi corporate going to touch you? Probably not. Try for a regional distributor. What is your film about? Don’t just go for placement just for placement, be smart about it and try and target your market. If your film is about an airport, maybe you can target a regional airport. The main thing to consider when approaching a sponsor is how it will benefit THEM. If you are trying to make people give you money, read "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. Essential in seeing things from others point of view. Good luck, sponsors are tough.
PS-Don’t overlook possible non-profit orgs and what they can bring to the table, then get a great publicist to push it to national media.
